FEP & PFA constant wattage heater cables are parallel-resistance electric heaters that provide constant power output along the entire length of cable. The FEP heater cable is constructed of 12 AWG bright copper buss wires which allow for long circuit lengths and Teflon® fluorocarbon resin providing maintenance temperatures up to 125°F and exposure temperatures up to 400°F. The PFA heater cable is insulated with fluoropolymer and provides maintenance temperatures up to 175°F with an exposure temperature up to 500°F. Both insulating materials provide high dielectric strength, moisture and chemical resistance along with protection from impact and abrasion. The cables can be cut to length in the field using standard electrical tools. The metallic braid provides grounding protection in hazardous areas. An optional fluorocarbon overjacket protects the ground braid in corrosive environments. |

FEP & PFA constant wattage heater cables are ideally suited for freeze protection and low to mid process temperature applications where the flow of fluid is essential. In areas requiring electric tracing such as: pipelines carrying chemicals, lubricants and process or potable water, fire protection systems, deicing of roofs and downspouts, the FEP & PFA heater cables will provide the exact amount of protection necessary for your application requirements. |
